Bits And Pieces :How You Can Start To Like Reading Again!

Jane Austen once wrote, " I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library."
Reading... What is it about it? ...what's so unique about this simple seven-letter word that drove Jane Austen to write such emotionally filled words?...How true are those words and is  what she posited still relevant now?... The answer is a big YES!
A very long time ago,  long before the advent of TV's and radios and the electronic machines that convert and reconvert signals to and from  0's and 1's,  reading had been the "it" thing. People of all colour, caste and ethnicity were avid readers with voracious appetites for books. Lately however, it has become increasingly challenging to pick up a book and silently sit still to pore over it.
Various activities demand our time and other resources so much so that by the time we are through with them, we become so emotionally drained and mentally fatigued that the very idea of reading a book becomes unappealing. If you have ever felt this way,  join the club for you're not alone. Reading has a myriad of benefits which you know very well as much as I so we needn't bore each other with details.  The basic idea of my presentation here is; if your appetite for reading has waned, the following are some three immensely vigorous and engaging reads to get you back on the horse!... So to speak 😁
 1. The Fault In Our Stars.

Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning author John Green's most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

2. Gone Girl

Gone girl is such a gripping thriller from writer,  Gillian Flynn. Time's Led Grossman calls it " a hall of mirrors where everything is an empty reflection including the people who live there." The novel takes us into the lives of Nick and Amy Dunne and by the time the novel has ended, you wouldn't even like to leave them... Trust me! πŸ˜€
3. How To Win Friends and Influence People.

A very short while, I had come to the sudden realization that in my pursuit of excellence in my educational career,  I had forgotten the simple art of "friendship"
I felt lonely most times and then one day after moping and feeling too bad for myself,  I googled and found this book. Dale Carnegie presents such down-to-earth steps of the art of making friends and influencing people I have never seen anywhere else. Ever since I started reading this book and applied its principles, my relationships with others have become richer and I hope it enriches yours too!

In conclusion, it can be a challenging task to read nowadays but I'm secured in the knowledge that these three books I've suggested will wet your appetite for reading again and what's even more incredible is, if you don't have Kindle money or cash to buy it from Amazon, just google its PDF form and download it😁...see,  so simple!
Happy Reading  people and Bonne chance!πŸ™Œ
