BROKEN 3

Hi there guys! How was your week??  Ours was fantastic by God's grace . Last week, Awurabena couldn't come through with Broken but this week, she has penned this to reclaim your love! Do give it a read and let's hear your thoughts on the issues raised in the piece yeah?  But before, here's where we let off last time: And at that very moment as well, Jeremie knew she had found a friend…someone whom she could trust…someone who would understand her…she was certain of that now… And so that night Jeremie did something she had never thought she’d find strength to do. She recounted her past to Jonathan... Sometime in the past  J eremie had been no ordinary girl. Haleyview was a small countryside town and everyone there could attest to that fact. She was unique and that was even an understatement. For one, she was so much on fire for God. Jeremie was never one to compromise her Christian principles and though many thought she was too prim and proper, they ...

Hi there Fam! How are we???😀....Here's the sequel to last week's Broken. We hope most of your questions will be answered by the end of this episode saf! 😉... Enjoy!  "For what shall we say in response to these things? If God be for us, who can stand against us? " Romans 8:31 J onathan had being a pillar of support throughout the period of her daughter's funeral and even after that. He'd taken charge of all the arrangements and had made sure the ceremony went on without any hitches. Jeremie had however not been too surprised at how he had been there for her and the way he had looked out for her and made sure she was alright. I mean this was Jonathan. It was his nature. She hadn't known such love since God knows how long and she suddenly found herself longing for something she had closed her heart to in years past... Once again she shuddered at the memories that crept stealthily into her mind like a thief at night. Of late, with the mo...

" Romans 8:31 S omething suddenly snapped within her. Like literally. Something snapped. It was almost as if she had had it coming and just like that it had happened. Staring into nothingness, she couldn't help but wonder why. She had come to the beachside to calm her nerves but even the silence on that night wasn't so quiet. The tranquility she earnestly sought for wasn't readily availa...

Hi there fellas ,how I've miiiiiiised yoooooou! 😍 I wrote part 1 of this story about a week ago and the response was massive! Thank you so much for coming to read. A special thank you to Ms Ama Pomaa who has truly inspired me and who also remarkably comments every time! 😘 Well, as you know, I couldn't end it last week so I'm here to do that as an early birthday present from me to you! (Tomorrow God willing be my birthday 😝...don't forget to wish me one yeah?) Anyway, this is where we ended last week : Jonathan trembled as he walked and half sprinted to Room 666 "How poetic! " he scoffed as he got there and stretched forth his hands to open the door with a key card he had bribed a receptionist for. "Awurade!"  he half cried and half  screamed. "His mother had been right all along! " I dedicate this week's piece to Maafia ( I'm a little embarrassed 'cause I don't recall your full name)🙇  Happy Birthd...

Mrs Brown called out for their house help. She was growing impatient by the minute and the fact that Nii, her husband was still not home irritated her astronomically. He was supposed to meet her at Pastor Nsiah's office for their counselling session but he had not turned up. She had waited patiently for him to return even a single of the twenty of her calls he had missed but zilch! "Ah!... Where could this girl be?" ...

Forgetting You

**About four years ago ** " Hello... Massa Karim... hello... can you hear me?...damn this network! " Brian stammered into his phone. The torrential downpour drummed on the roof of his Hyundai Elantra as he sat in with all its windows tightly shut. This was to prevent the rain from coming in to drench him. The fact that his car had decided to break down aggravated him very much. "Hello... Ahaaa Massa Karim... It is I... Yes... my car broke down in the middle of the Hilla road... " Brian explained to the party at the other end of the call when he had finally been able to hear him clearly. " ...of course Sir... I'll send someone over ," Massa Karim affirmed avidly. He was almost about to close the autoshop just a while ago when Sandra  entered. The rain had started just a while after Sandra 's arrival. They'd been catching up when the phone had began to ring. " Ayitey!... Armah!... Jojo!..., " he called out like a Soprano...

AGAINST THE SKY II

So a while back I published the first part of this story here and the response was remarkable! Awurabena said she'd like to feature for the sequel and so after a while of cooking it, it is finally here.....Happy Reading and please don't forget to leave a comment! 😉 *A month ago* Ebo Essandoh’s decision to commit suicide had everything to do with Esi Akorful. It was no news. At least, to those who knew him well, of which his mum, the attorney general, and his three closest pals Nii, Jonas and Paa were inclusive. Esi Akorful. Only God knows what power she possessed to cause such transformation in Ebo since they met. That is what we’d call it. A drastic transformation. Ebo Essandoh entered the university with excellent grades. The guy was exceptionally brilliant and his transcript was proof enough.  It was almost like he was the Einstein of his time. Well technically he was. Contrary to what you may be thinking Ebo wasn’t a notorious person. Well to the outside w...

GLASSHOUSE

Image
Here's to a Sunday fun day ... Enjoy! 😉 #Jeremiah He got there and an immense feeling of nostalgia grasped every part of his being. The smell was as he left it, the houses and people, same save for Hajia Fati who had boosted her Tuo Zaafi’ business from just a little container to a building in the Nti plaza. "Business must be good "he muttered to himself. Everything was the same, yet everything had changed. "Had she changed too? " he wondered. They say for each person, there is the 'one'. You know the one that makes you smile in your darkest days; makes you feel like you are the only homo sapien in the entire infinite number of Universes.  For Jeremiah Korsah, that 'one' had been Anna Boakye and he had loved her for a while until when it came down to choosing between an opportunity of a lifetime to work for the BBC in the UK and Anna, he had chosen the latter. Anna had not been very much pleased about that and till date ...

Well, forever! 😵....It was written spontaneously so here's to spontaneous reading ... Enjoy!    He walked with a spring in his steps though his tired heart warned him of the act being unwise. Soon he was panting like a rabid dog but how could he stop?  He longed to hold Efua in his arms again after being at war for most part of the year. The prospect of this brought him an energy that was tucked away somewhere in his body and he started to jog. "Yaw hold on! your woman will not vanish!", Donkor , his travelling companion teased. But Yaw had already dived behind a thick grove and Donkor was forced to run in a bid to catch up to him. " Loser buys the other a pot of palm wine" Yaw challenged. "You've got yourself a wager" Don...
